We all have our own sense of self as we go through our lives. Yet how we think about ourselves can be very different than how others see and think about us. In our personal lives, this is okay, as we all have different relationships with different people in our lives. For example, we probably wouldn’t interact with a coworker the same way we interact with our siblings or close friends.

Personas In Nature

Human beings aren’t the only ones limited to these separate personas. Bumblebees, for instance, can be associated with springtime, nature, and honey, just as easily as they can be associated with being stung, pain, and bad experiences. The latter is especially relevant to people who are highly allergic to bees.

Personas In Brands

If your business has the same double persona as a honey bee, then your branding needs a complete overhaul. Your customers should not feel uncomfortable, intimidated, or even hesitant to do business with you, and these negative feelings can be propagated from your brand persona. Your brand persona should always send a positive message.
